UNGP Reporting Framework now available in Polish
Courtesy of the Polish Institute for Human Rights and Business, the UNGP Reporting Framework is now available in Polish – Ramy sprawozdawczości zgodnej z Wytycznymi ONZ dotyczącymi biznesu i praw człowieka [link to PDF]. This is the first time the Reporting Framework is available in a language other than its original English. The Polish Institute for Human Rights and Business (PIHRB) is also aiming to make the implementation guidance to the UNGP Reporting Framework available in Polish in November 2015.
The UN Guiding Principles Reporting Framework is the first comprehensive guidance for companies to report on human rights issues in line with their responsibility to respect human rights. This responsibility is set out in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, which constitute the authoritative global standard in this field. The UNGP Reporting Framework was launched in February 2015.
The Polish version of the Reporting Framework will support a workshop on the Reporting Framework on 12 November in Warsaw, co-hosted by PIHRB and Shift, the aim of which is to introduce Polish companies to reporting on human rights, particularly in advance of the transposition of the EU non-financial reporting directive into Polish law in 2016.
The translation was funded by contributions from Orange Polska, Balajcza Specialized Translations, TÜV Rheinland Polska Sp. z o.o. and ProfitCom Software.
